TRANSITION TEAM UPDATE - Thursday, May 12th, 2022
WE NEED A LOGO FOR OUR FAMILY OF PARISHES!
Now that we have a name for our Family (“NORTH OXFORD CATHOLIC FAMILY OF PARISHES”), we need a logo. Since this is YOUR family, we want everyone to have an opportunity to provide input. We are inviting all members of our Family to suggest ideas for images, symbols and/or visual designs which will be considered for our new logo.
Some key words to kickstart your brainstorming are: family, togetherness, discipleship, sharing, growing, faith, unity, cooperation, support, friendship, collaboration, helping.
We do not wish this to be a contest. After reviewing the submissions, the Transition Team may choose to take different elements or ideas from various contributors and combine them into a new image to best reflect our Family.
For those creating artwork:
- The logo should be simple, not complicated or confusing, and all elements must be discernible when reproduced in smaller sizes;
- Logos cannot contain photographic pictures;
- The logo must NOT contain any text;
- The logo MUST be the original work of the submitter and not violate the copyright of any other person;
- The logo must have NO background so it can be converted into a transparent PNG or JPEG for social media and various event posters;
- Please include a brief description of why the symbols and colours were chosen.
Ideas and or artwork can be submitted digitally to our email: firstname.lastname@example.org
Paper entries must be on unfolded, unlined 8.5 X 11 paper, and can be dropped off at your church or given to a Transition Team member.
DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS: FRIDAY, MAY 27th, 2022, by 12:00pm (NOON)
UPDATE - Tuesday, May 3rd, 2022
WE HAVE A NAME FOR OUR FAMILY!
“NORTH OXFORD CATHOLIC FAMILY OF PARISHES”
One of the Transition Team’s initial tasks was to come up with a name for our Family. It is important to remember that our “family grouping” will be identified with its own name, HOWEVER, we will continue to keep the uniqueness and individuality of our parishes, INCLUDING OUR PARISH NAMES.
See the attached document for the full update.
UPDATE - April 6, 2022
Our meetings with parishioners from Sacred Heart and Holy Cross continue, most recently occurring at Sacred Heart in Ingersoll on Tuesday, April 5th. Our next meeting will be Tuesday, May 3rd, at Holy Trinity.
The term ‘Family of Parishes’ represents the community of parishes that join to become one family, while still maintaining their distinct parish. Our introductory video continues to be presented at all three parishes before each Mass. The video was created to give everyone a basic understanding of what is involved in our journey to become one family. The link to the video is accessible here.
There will be an opportunity for input from parishioners to assist the Transition Team in its effort to consider initiatives/ideas that will help build the ‘Family of Parishes’. More information about this is forthcoming.
As always, we ask for your prayers to help our transition into a Family of Parishes:
May the Holy Spirit guide us along the way.
UPDATE FROM THE TRANSITION TEAM - March 25, 2022
We continue our meetings with members from Sacred Heart and Holy Cross. Our most recent meeting occurred on Tuesday, March 22nd at Holy Cross. Future Transition Team meetings will occur on April 5th (Sacred Heart) and on April 19th (Holy Trinity). This introductory video was designed to give everyone a basic understanding of what is involved in our journey to become one family. In the coming weeks, this video will be presented at all three parishes before each Mass. As always, we ask for your prayers to help our transition into a Family of Parishes: may the Holy Spirit guide us along the way.

IMPORTANT UPDATE #2 – June 13, 2021
Further to our 1st update in last week's bulletin of becoming a “Family of Parishes” (Holy Trinity Parish & Holy Cross of Woodstock & Sacred Heart, Ingersoll), our staff’s next steps will be to gather in prayer on a bi-weekly basis with the focused intention of a successful transition into our “Family of Parishes” that is scheduled to be implemented next July 2022.
We will gather on the 2nd and 4th Friday of each month beginning June 25, 20211. We will begin with our regularly scheduled Mass at 9:30 am followed by a time of Adoration/Rosary.
We invite you to join us in prayer if you are able. We will be livestreaming the Mass and Adoration for those who cannot join in person. We know and trust that through prayer God will guide us each step of the way to a successful transition into our “Family of Parishes.”
May the Holy Spirit guide us along the way!
IMPORTANT UPDATE #1 – June 6, 2021
During the upcoming months we will begin the process of transitioning to be part of the “Family of Parishes” with the Polish Community & Ingersoll church, Sacred Heart. The activation date of our “family” is expected to be July 2022. We know that many of you have questions about what this announcement means and what will be happening in the following months. So today, we begin with Part #1 of a series of Q&A that will explain what you can expect.
WHAT IS A FAMILY OF PARISHES?
A Family of Parishes is a grouping of parishes lead by one single pastoral team (pastor, associate pastor, deacons, pastoral & youth ministers, etc.) sharing resources to advance the mission of our Church. Our grouping will include Holy Trinity, Holy Cross & Sacred Heart in Ingersoll.
WHO WILL BE OUR PRIESTS?
Fr. Dariusz will remain our Parish Administrator and will be assisted by Fr. Raj. Our priests will continue to be responsible for all three parishes, so they will regularly rotate between parishes, similar to what has been happening since February.
The process of becoming a “Family of Parishes” will take several months & that is why we are beginning the process and explaining the basics now. This process is going to be both exciting and challenging. In the coming months, the staffs will begin making ministry connections and sharing ideas. A Transition Team will be formed. As we work through this process, there will be many opportunities for you to provide input and receive information.
May the Holy Spirit guide us along the way!
