First Reconciliation Online Prep 2021/2022
Together you will be working with your child to help them understand what the Sacrament of Reconciliation is, and why we as Catholics return regularly to receive God's mercy in this special way.
We know online learning can be a challenge, and we sure wish we could be together in person. We've broken this down into easy sections for you and your child to do together on your own time. With great videos, a few activities, and some discussion questions, we are praying this is a fun learning experience for everyone in your family!
The entire workbook is available here, First Reconciliation Workbook, but we have provided smaller document for each of the sessions below which you can print off and complete along with your child.

Encourage your child to read the sections, if they are able.
Have your child use your computer, tablet, or phone to navigate.
Find a dedicated space free from distractions.
Start each session with a Prayer. There are 4 options at the bottom of this page, or make up your own!
PRAYERS TO TRY & LEARN
LORD'S PRAYER
Our Father, who are in heaven, hallowed be thy name
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven
Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses,
As we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
Amen.
HAIL MARY
Hail Mary, full of grace
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed are you
among women,
And blessed is the fruit
of your womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God
Pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.
PRAYER OF PRAISE
Glory to the Father
and to the Son,
and to the Holy Spirit;
As it was in the beginning,
is now and will be forever.
Amen.
ACT OF CONTRITION
Jesus Christ,
Son of the living God,
Have mercy on me, a sinner.
OR
Dear God,
I am sorry for doing wrong. Please forgive me all my sins. I know you love me very much. Help me to love you in return and care for others as you do.
Amen.
