                Holy Trinity Catholic Community of Woodstock came together under one roof at site of the former St. Rita Church 904 Dundas Street in Woodstock in July of 2006.  The Community drew together the churches of St. Mary and St. Rita of Woodstock and Sacred Heart Mission Church in Princeton, Ontario. 



                The move toward one combined community did not come without it’s troubles.  There was a great deal of sadness, frustration, fear, and of course, some anger.  The move to one church took place one year following the arrival of a new Pastor and Associate.  They were Fr. Andrew Kowalczyk C.S.M.A. and Fr. Christopher Gevaert, respectively.  The two were both youthful and inspired.  Filled with energy and vision.  A formidable team to bring these three churches together under one roof!

                A great deal was accomplished in a very short period of time.  New committees, councils, and ministries were being formed.  Parishioners were learning to welcome and be welcomed into the new home.  There were many tears shed, but laughter definitely ruled the day.  These two young priests were quite a comic team together, which did a great deal toward healing many of the wounds created during the move together. 

                A quiet, yet mighty asset was added to the team upon their arrival to Woodstock.  We welcomed Sister Teresa Morrison, a Missionary Sister of The Precious Blood who was to become the new Pastoral Minister for the community.  Sr. Teresa’s  history began in Woodstock.  Her early education began at St. Rita’s elementary school where she was guided and inspired by the Holy Ghost Fathers whose own missionary works inspired her to join the order of The Missionary Sisters of the Precious Blood following her graduation from high school.
                In 2007 Fr. Rick Dales arrived to take over as Pastor for the newly formed community commissioned with the formidable task of overseeing the construction and financial planning for the new facility to be built on Devonshire Ave.  Fr. Rick a quiet, reflective individual, took up the challenges that lay ahead and very soon construction had begun.  In May of 2013 the Catholic community known as Holy Trinity Parish, moved into their bright new facility. And on Sunday, May 26, 2013 Bishop Ronald Fabbro celebrated a special Mass to Dedicate the Church and bless the Altar.        

                Sadly and very unexpectedly, Fr. Dales passed away on January 16, 2018.   Fr. Dariusz Jagodzinski, Pastor of Holy Cross Polish Church in Woodstock, was notified of the death while on holiday in Poland.  On return to Canada he became the Parish Administrator of Holy Trinity, giving him 2 churches in his care.
